If you’ve ever thought about learning to dance but don’t know where to begin, you’re not alone. Many people in Toronto are looking for fun, social, and active hobbies, and dance classes are one of the best ways to get started. The good news is—you don’t need any experience to join. Here’s how you can take your first steps into the world of dance.

1. Choose Your Style. Dance classes Toronto

The first step is to pick the dance that excites you the most. At our studio, you can start with:

  • Salsa & Bachata – energetic Latin Dances that are hugely popular in Toronto’s nightlife.
  • Argentine Tango – a passionate and elegant dance that connects you deeply with your partner and the music.
  • Swing or West Coast Swing – fun, playful dances that are perfect for social parties.

Not sure which one is for you? You can check out some of our class summary videos recorded by Ania & Adam on YouTube here.

2. Start with a 5-Week Fundamentals Course

Each dance style begins with a 5-week fundamentals program, designed for complete novice. Classes are 60 minutes once a week, and a 5-week pass is $115 + HST ($129.95). After this, you can move into the next level (Beginner/Advanced-Beginner) and keep progressing in your chosen style, cycling through topics in 5 week increments.

3. Not sure which style to choose? Try General Dancing if You Can’t Decide

If you are undecided or just love the idea of learning more than one style, our General Dancing Starter is a great option. Over first 5 weeks, you’ll experience a mix of:

  • Social Freestyle basics - the fundamentals of leading and following and a staple set of moves
  • Swinging styles basics - Single Swing / Vintage Swing
  • Latin dances fundamentals - Merengue

Then experience more variety once you transfer to the Beginner / Advanced Beginner group, where in 5 week chunks you’ll get to learn more classics like Salsa, Bachata, Rumba and Chcha, Swing and Foxtrot and of course Tango. It’s a fun way to try several dances leaving you informed before committing to just one style.

4. Speed Up with Private Dance Lessons

If you want to learn faster, private lessons are the most efficient way to improve. At our home studio, one private class (60 minutes) is $116 + HST. You’ll get personal feedback, a customized learning plan, and progress much quicker than in a group benefiting from the full attention of your instructor.

5. Join a Starter Group Anytime

Our Starter programs run regularly—on average, a new round begins once a month. This means you never have to wait long to start your dance journey. Whether you’re interested in Salsa, Tango, Swing, or General Dancing, there’s always a new beginner-friendly cohort just around the corner.

👉 Whether you want the fiery energy of Salsa, the elegance of Tango, or the playful feel of Swing, there’s a dance style waiting for you.

✨ The best way to start? Pick your favorite, sign up for a 5-week beginner course, and take your first step onto the dance floor.
