Dear Toronto Tango Students.
As you have noticed many of you ask questions about quite a wide range of topics during my Tango classes. Questions vary widely: from fundamentals to quite advanced details. All of them have to be answered, but since some of them lie at the very core of understanding of what Tango movement should be like, some are more important then others. Frequently I find we cannot proceeded with the lesson because the question uncovers some important fragment of knowledge missing. Without full understanding we cannot move forward.
To avoid disruption to regular classes and to give all of you a chance to find out what you should know, I have decided to devote three classes to fundamentals as I understand them. Those are purely technique classes, where we can focus on all aspect of body control that help improve your execution of Argentine Tango steps and patterns. We work on balance, posture, steps execution and stride, leg and foot action, isolation, connection, various spins and rotations, as well as connection, leading and interpreting.
